Sculptural design with a real flame

A polished rounded shell sits above a slender pedestal, lifting the real flame into view. The freestanding design gives the fireplace the presence of a piece of furniture while keeping its form simple and uncluttered.

Designed by Federico Otero, this indoor Cocoon fireplace burns liquid bioethanol in a manually controlled burner. It is not an electric or water-vapour fireplace. The polished steel finish is the selected model; matte-black versions are not supplied under this listing.

Everyday use

The 1.5-litre Cocoon 2.0 burner provides an adjustable flame, with up to five hours of burning per fill depending on the setting and conditions. It requires neither electricity nor a chimney, but adequate room ventilation and the clearances in the installation manual remain essential.

Use the supplied operating tool to adjust or extinguish the flame as instructed. Never refill while the burner is lit or hot. Allow the combustion chamber to cool fully, avoid overfilling and clean up any spilt fuel before ignition. Do not leave a burning fireplace unattended or move it during operation.

Installation and safe use

This is a decorative real-flame appliance, not a primary heating system or an appliance for continuous operation. Confirm room volume, ventilation, safety distances, support and the exact current installation drawing before fitting. Do not assume that absence of a chimney requirement removes the need for safe ventilation.

Place the assembled fireplace on a stable, suitable surface with the safety clearances specified in the manual. Do not move the appliance while burning or while hot. A ceiling conversion kit is not included.

Keep children, pets, curtains and other combustible objects away from the appliance. Do not cover the burner or add unapproved decorative logs, stones or glass beads. Building work, fitting and fuel are not included.

Delivery

The displayed price includes standard delivery within the supported England and Wales delivery area. Delivery does not include installation, fixing to a wall or moving the fireplace into its final position.

Warranty and statutory rights

Supplied with a two-year product warranty, subject to the applicable warranty terms and correct installation, use and maintenance. Keep proof of purchase and the supplied documentation. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Register your fireplace with Cocoon Fires to activate the manufacturer warranty. Registration does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

Manual and current dimensions

The current manufacturer brochure specifies an overall height of 74 cm. Use the current drawing supplied with the fireplace for installation, rather than the height shown in older operating instructions.
